Born and raised in rural Northern California, Natalie Campbell grew up spending summers riding her horses and competing in local horseshows, gymkhanas and rodeos. By high school she was a member of the FFA Horse Judging Team, as well as competing in High School Rodeo in barrel racing and pole bending. After she graduated, she met her husband Gabe and together they have two boys and raise beef cattle in the small town of Laytonville, California.
After her children were born, Natalie decided to take a ceramic sculpture class and one thing led to another as she started to explore different mediums. Soon her newfound love of art collided with her passion for horses and the western way of life. All her years of studying the conformation on horses only helped to advance her art and she has been able to continue to push herself to create better and better pieces.
Working mostly on black paper with pastel or color pencils she enjoys bringing all the beauty of the world around her to life. Even though she is still a new artist, she has already brought home multiple awards for her works in local art competitions and looks forward to entering her pieces in more competitions both at the local level and beyond.
